Our products will be locally designed, manufactured and integrated in Australia to meet the challenges of our conditions. We are in the design and prototype phase and are seeking early adopters for initial implementation projects, testing and feedback.

VE Motion has developed a powered trailer system designed for the heavy transport sector, including livestock, bulk commodities, and general freight applications.
Our advanced system seamlessly integrates with any modern prime mover via CANBUS communication, providing electrification benefits without the need for large capital investment or infrastructure replacement.

VE Motion is the exclusive distributor of this cutting-edge technology in Australia and New Zealand, bringing world-class electrification solutions to local heavy transport industries.

Flexible Integration Options

The e-trailer system can be:

  • Fitted to VE Motion’s custom trailers, designed and manufactured in-house.

  • Retrofitted to existing truck and trailer combinations, extending their lifecycle.

  • Supplied as a system to trailer OEMs for integration into new builds.

Our Advanced Powered Trailer System provides a scalable diesel displacement solution, enabling major transport operators to transition toward cleaner, more efficient operations. By electrifying heavy vehicles, we are not only reducing emissions but also paving the way for a more sustainable future.

System Specifications

Our Powered Trailer System will utilise a fully integrated electric "e-axle" to provide electric propulsion on heavy vehicle trailers, with the aim of displacing 50% of diesel usage*.

Improving efficiency by brake regeneration and utilising state of charge in large on board batteries. 

We're working closely with regulatory bodies such as the NHVR to pave the way for electric trailer propulsion. Our system will integrate with the prime mover CAN bus communication.

*Based on a b-double line haul operating 250,000km per annum. Data is subject to testing and verification.

At VE Motion, we not only offer products but we will also provide comprehensive lifecycle solutions to ensure our customers needs are met at every stage. Our dedicated team is here to provide expert maintenance, repairs and support (including remote monitoring), ensuring the continued optimal performance and longevity of your VE Motion products.
