OFFERING HEAVY VEHICLE ELECTRIFICATION SYSTEMS TO MAJOR TRANSPORT USERS

Our Heavy Vehicle Hybrid Electrification Systems offer a compelling solution to displace diesel at scale now, empowering major transport users to transition towards cleaner, more efficient operations. Our products will be locally designed, manufactured and integrated in Australia to meet the challenges of our conditions. We are in the design and prototype phase and are seeking early adopters for initial implementation projects, testing and feedback.

Shifting Australia towards net zero 

At VE Motion, we're ushering in a new era of transportation electrification with our innovative hybrid systems designed to transform the industry. Explore our development projects below:

Hybrid Drive System

Our Hybrid Drive System will integrate with the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) of any existing diesel prime mover to displace 50% of the vehicle diesel usage, saving up to 125,000 litres per vehicle annually*.

Our prototype vehicle will be the common 9-axle 68-tonne payload B-Double class; however, larger road train retrofit options for mine ore haulage will be possible.

Partnering with Bosch Rexroth, our system will augment the prime mover ICE and drive systems with a low-speed, high-torque electric motor, powered by a large onboard battery to accommodate the vehicle's drive cycle.

Powered Trailer System

Our Powered Trailer System will utilise a fully integrated electric "e-axle" to provide electric propulsion on heavy vehicle trailers, with the aim of displacing 50% of diesel usage*.

Improving efficiency by brake regeneration and utilising state of charge in large on board batteries. 

We're working closely with regulatory bodies such as the NHVR to pave the way for electric trailer propulsion. Our system will integrate with the prime mover CAN bus communication.

Battery Swap System

Complementing our electrification systems, our proposed Battery Swap System will aim to offer ultra-fast battery swapping, storage and charging capabilities. Featuring multiple large kWh automotive standard battery modules, this system will enable off-peak grid charging and seamless integration onto electric heavy vehicles.

We believe the heavy vehicle industry has a responsibility to pioneer vehicle to grid (V2G) charging implementation. 

Multiple battery charge bays and expandable configurations will be available. 

*Based on a b-double line haul operating 250,000km per annum. Data is subject to testing and verification.
